Importing passive or ghost segments

Understand what passive segments are and how to import them into TravelMind.

Updated over a week ago

Passive segments are used in Amadeus to record services not ticketed through the system — such as externally booked flights, rail, or hotel services.

They can be imported into TravelMind for reference and documentation.

How to identify a passive segment

  • Passive segments are marked with status codes like HK, GK, or BK.

  • They appear as non-ticketed lines but still show traveler and route details.

How to import

  1. Create or open a file.

  2. Paste the passive segment.

  3. A service will be created with your details.

  4. Select passenger(s) and complete other details.

Why use passive segments

  • To ensure complete client itineraries

  • To simplify reporting and traveler overviews

⚠️ Important: Passive segments don’t generate invoices or purchases — they’re for information and reporting only.
