Adding a package vs individual services (which should you use?)

Understand when to add a single “Package” service and when to add each service separately.

Updated over a week ago

When booking through a tour operator (TO), DMC, or when creating your own self-packaged trip, you can either enter one Package service or several individual services.

The choice depends on how the booking is invoiced and displayed to the client.

Use a Package when:

  • All components are sold as one combined product by a supplier (TO/DMC).

  • The client pays one total price.

  • You want to show one single line on the travel agreement.

Example:
A 7-night TUI package including flights and hotel → add one Package service.

Use individual services when:

  • You created a custom combination from different suppliers.

  • You need separate purchase tracking for each item.

  • The client may want to see each component listed.

Example:
Flights booked via Amadeus, hotels via Expedia, and transfers added manually → add each as its own service line, optionally grouped later.

💡 Tip: You can combine several individual lines using Grouping (see Article 4) for a cleaner document layout.
